My Approach
Self esteem is fueled by our sense of personal power. We have control over how we think and the words we use. It is within our control to change our thinking and the way in which we use words.
Power, though, has limits. We cannot control other people with our own power. We can only hope to influence other people with what we say and how we act.
It is our steady, reliable behavior that influences others, that is, creating change in relationships without controlling what is outside of our thoughts and words.
Whether it is controlling our own behavior or influencing others, it’s always about building the right skills. It is all about knowing “how to” make change.
Therapy provides the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and develop insight into the impact of our words and behavior.
